In 1985 ,as a senior at Bartlett High School, I ran the #1 800m time in the U.S.(1:49.2) and a week later ran the #3 800m time in U.S. high school history(1:48.09).  Soon after, I received an athletic scholarship to attend the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona where I earned a BA degree in 1990.  In 1991 I began coaching and have been coaching since.  I have taught at all grade levels. I have coached high school track and cross country since 1991 and was an assistant at the University of Alaska Anchorage.
